Electric tongue jack motor rebuild (Ultra 3000)

My jack (Ultra Odyssey 3000) stopped working. I took apart the motor and cleaned it up once. I got it working again, but only for a few uses. Its out again. I've been using my cordless impact with a socket for the last few trips. I'm confident a simple rebuild of the motor with new springs and brushes would take care of it. Where would be the best place for parts for this? Even if I had to replace the whole motor, it would still be cheaper than replacing the entire unit.

I was at Camping World and inquired about parts. They told me nothing was available and I would need to replace the entire unit. They're only a few hundred dollars, but I find this hard to believe.

Who has addressed this problem and was the fix a good one?

Is that jack made by Ultra-Fab? If so, call them, I'm sure they have parts. You've checked the in-line 30a fuse?

Is that your jack, Jack?

Northern Ca? Oroville here. Evacuated twice this year, first its flood, then its fire, so what's next, pestilence?

That's the one, thanks. I'll have to give them a call tomorrow I guess.

You've had your share of excitement this year for sure. At least the spillway repair seems to on schedule. We've been lucky here in Roseville. My wife's cousin lost here house in Santa Rosa. Maybe it's time to re-evaluate our insurance...

Have you checked your ground? I had the same jack and aways had a intermittent or not working jack. I ran a separate ground wire from the base to the battery and I never had a problem after that.

Good luck.
