Electrical problems and clueless
So we have been running off a generator until we get electric out just fine for three weeks and last night in the middle of the night our AC and radio go out. Plugs still worked so I could thankfully see baby monitor and use our box fans but for the life of us can't understand what's wrong. We flipped the breaker, tried a new plug adaptor to the generator and checked for a bad fuse but came up short. Anybody experience this?? Or is it just time to call an electrician? We are living out of our 2009 keystone passport while we build our house and I have a 3 and 1 year old so hoping to get fixed quickly! Thanks for any advice!

You said you, "flipped the breaker," was that on the generator? How about the breakers in your breaker panel? There should be one or two large breakers at the top of the panel, then breakers for each circuit in the RV. Check all of them by flipping them off then on again in case a breaker tripped.
You didn't mention how big the generator is, or the shore cable size for your RV. If it's a 30 amp shore cord, you have one hot line and one neutral, plus a ground wire. If it's 50 amp service, you have two 50 amp hot leads, one neutral, and one ground. On 50 amp service, you could have one hot wire, powering half your breaker panel and one dead hot lead, leaving the other half of the panel without power.

When you call an electrician make sure they have worked on RVs and know RV electrical systems. I advise all folks working on electrical to get an electrician. Electrity on TT can kill you, not something to work on without experience.
You really have not given enough specific information for folks to be much help. So give us trailer info such as what AMP is your trailer. What your generator and size. BFlinn181 is right as in what breaker(s).
Good fortune with it.

Check your 12 volt circuits, AC needs both 120 and 12v to operate=AC and radio have 12v issues in common. 12v battery may not be being charged?????

As stated above, make sure you turn the "tripped" breaker to the full "off" position and then flip the breaker back to on. You must go to the full off position to reset the breaker.

If you have power at the outlets your 120 VAC is working. The breaker you flipped is part of that system. As was said above, it looks like you have a 12 VDC problem.
Did you check your battery water level? Measure the battery voltage? The 12 V circuits are generally protected by the automotive type fuses in your power panel.

I would also check the fuse for your power converter. Good luck.
