Hello travel trailer nomads! My husband and I have an older 1999 Thor trailer, witch was in excellent condition when we got it. Always kept under a roof, used as a granny unit.
After we recieved it a few years later a branch rubbed off part of the rubber roof.
So, my husband was told he should fix it with Gaco silicon roofing. Which he did, not knowing the impacts.
Needless to say, it did not work. Unfortunately he also applied it to the entire roof.
I would like to apply liquid rubber roof, but will we have to take all the silicon Gaco off first?
Is there a solvent safe for rubber roofing I could use to get the Gaco off?
Hopefully the roof will be ok, but I am concerned!
