Equalization batteries

Hi everybody

What is the correct procedure (how and frequency) for equalize 6 volts batteries with a Blue Sky 2000E?

I have NEVER equalized my batteries... (and the 1st 2 sets lasted 9 years each).

'96 Safari, 142 k miles, (now with 7 mo. on only the 3rd set of batteries).

It is no secret that proper charge settings on your on-board inverter/charger, correct battery electrolyte levels and common sense 12V energy management increases the life of lead acid batteries.
