Estone IRV 8503 radio/dvd player

My Nash travel trailer came with the Estone IRV 8503 radio/dvd player. I have installed a Naxa NTD-2252 television. I have an HDMI cable connected between the two, but also want to run TV shows through the speaker system. My thought is to use the earphone output on the tv and connect it to the auxilary input on the radio/dvd. Does anyone have any experience with this? What type of audio cable should I use?

You probably need a cable with two miniature or 1/8 inch stereo phono plugs. Your TV volume control and radio volue control will effect your overall volume. Your TV sound will be shut of completely.

To avoid this confusing interaction and still have TV sound when needed, use the red and white RCA female otputs on the back of the TV. Of course then you will need two male RCA plugs on one end of the cable. Now only the radio volume control will be active, and the TV speakers will still work if needed.

If you have an output on the TV and input on the radio for the 3.5mm plug, the male-male wire is cheap and easy to find at radioshack or from Belkin.
Should work.
