Eternabond question
Howdy. I have read quite a few posts about Eternabond tape for roof repair and maintenance. I went on their website and noticed the sizes range from 2 inches by 50 ft. to 36 inches by 50 feet. What would be the best size for general purpose use?

I used 4" on the cap seams, and 2" around vents and such.
No reason you couldn't use 4" everywhere on an RV roof, I wouldn't want anything less than 4" on the caps.

Unless you have a specific project in mind, 4" X 20' ... covers most seams and lasts a long time.

I use 4" on most things and 2" where it fits better.
I keep both 4" and 2" in stock in the rig. It is available in different thickness.

We keep 4" just in case a branch catches the rig. It would wonderful if roads and park roads kept trees groomed, but not always the case.

I use 2 inch almost exclusively. Then I cover the repair with Dicor Lap Sealant. Once that cures then I paint the repair with Plas-T-Cote Rubber Roof Coating. I also use this periodically to paint the entire roof.

I purchased a product called "quick roof ultra bond tape" 4"x25" for emergency repairs. Some home depots carry it or look at product on line. Comes in black or white.

I would remove as much of the old sealant if possible, and if it is silicone based for sure remove and clean. Or nothing will stick over it.
