Hi Golden,

I went back to re-read the original post and it seems I read it too quickly the first time. I thought the OP wanted an opinion about warranties (and yes, if you want to split hairs I do understand it's tantamount to a "service contract"). In any event, I stand by my original response which is clearly an opinion that the OP can take or leave. How about taking a chill pill!

I probably wouldn't buy one on a camper either.

However when I purchased our used DP, I went on knowing that a blown diesel engine could easily top $25K and a trans $10K.

Couple of $K over the next 2 years meant a lot of peace of mine.

IMO, and speaking from experience too, a service contract (it is not a warranty) for a towable is not a good idea. For a motor home (they are much more complicated), I would buy one just as soon as I could determine which company was best for my situation.
Shop around, your selling dealer makes a profit from selling you an extended service contract, and you pay interest on the premium to boot.
You should make sure you have in writing what is covered, and what is not covered. What is the claim procedure-exactly? This is because if you deviate from the claims procedure it is an open door to deny the claim.
