Exterior Protection Package

Does anyone have experience with an exterior protection package from a dealer such as ResistAll or Diamond that they would like to share their experiences with. With my new 42' TH I am considering one simply for the fact that I don't have a ton of time to keep up with regular waxing during the summer if I am going to get enough use out of the camper. I was hoping for some good or bad experiences you have had with one of these. Thanks

Like all such products it is a hugh profit maker for the dealers. You can do the same by thoroughly cleaning and waxing your RV once a year. If you don't want to do it, for a few dollars hire a neighborhood kid to do it for you in the spring.

If you expect any sort of warranty coverage, read the warranty carefully. They typically require a annual or semi-annual application of their product or cleaner.

You are better off keeping the money in your pocket and just having it cleaned up good every year if you can't do it yourself. I use Protect-all and it is easy to apply and does a good job.

Yes, it is a high profit item for the dealer.

Thanks Don and Ken I appreciate the feed back. I am with you guys on this one after doing some more internet research. I am going to be washing it anyways due to the rubber roof I guess it wont take much more to add a gel coat sealant when I am done. They just gave a really good sales pitch and it got me considering their product. The truth is I am very particular with my toys and vehicles so I would probably end up doing the sealant/waxing anyways so why waste the $1000. Thanks, Ryan

P.S It would still be interesting to see if anyone has had a good experience with one of these protection packages, I haven't found anyone yet!

If they are selling it for a $1,000.00 their cost is less than $100.00. Ask them to throw it in to make the deal, most will, as the cost to them is minimal. It's like giving you a $1,000.00 discount that costs them $100.00
