I have a 2005 Arctic Fox 29V. When I use the water in the kitchen, either hot OR cold, the faucet makes an awful screeching sound. Only if it is barely on does the noise go away. Hubby thinks it is the washers in the faucet; anyone have any experience with this? Btw, the bathroom faucet or bath/shower does NOT do this.

In my experience, it's the filter/screens that are screwed onto the faucet. Remove them and replace them (or clean) and the problem will be solved. To make sure, you could use one from another faucet to check.

If you cant get the remove the filter/screen then try soaking the faucet head in either Vinegar or lime away. That should dissolve the lime deposits. If the faucet still screeches then try replacing the rubber washers.

I'm betting on hubby. If the aerator is coated with build-up you will see reduced water flow.

Mine was caused by a swollen o-ring.
Does it sound anything like this:

That could prove to be tricky cause the faucet head doesn't pull out to put in a dish of vinegar. I am going to pursue this first, tho. Thanks.

Yes, there IS a reduced water folow compared to the bathroom sink.

shut your water off then remove the stems from the tap. I would suggest replacing the total stem with washer as there will probably be an O-ring on the stem so for the price diff. not worth the trouble. When you have the hold down nut off the stem note how the stem sits as some go in only one way in order to operate properly Otherwise you may have to turn the taps backwards in order to work if installed wrong. I replace mine in our older unit and it solved the problem. this only if they are 1/4 turn on/off taps.
