Congratulations on getting the right result. I know it is frustrating having to wait, but they are doing the right thing by fixing it all and not charging you. Mistakes happen, it is how people respond to them that is important.

I think your letter did the trick. I don't know if you did but I would have mentioned you had a vacation reservation made starting June 1st. Dealers are hit now with all the preseason repair work everyone needs. 6 weeks just lets them put your unit in the back lot in order to prep new RVs they sold. I would still keep on them because it doesn't take 6 weeks to order a new tank.

I'm sure glad they (managers) stepped up.

That's really the best result you could have hoped for. They have to tear it apart, measure the tank, check what fittings are required where, order it, get it manufactured, get it delivered, install it and then leak check it. Better to have a repaired trailer than a leaky one! Welcome to RVing

I would think most trailer builders use pre-sized tanks that are used for more that one trailer manufactures floorplan. Expedited service would include the rv dealer opening up the under belly, dropping the damaged tank, and calling their supplier to get one on the next delivery truck.

If the dealer is like most dealers, the 6 weeks will become 12. I would make alternate vacation plans so at least you have some vacation instead of nothing if things do not go as planned

Good outcome if they honor their word. I am skeptical of any car or rv dealer that makes verbal agreements....doesn't count if not written, and signed by someone with authority in the company.
Agree with the wait times, I've been told several times "about 2 weeks, drop it off, and we'll get er done". Not true. Turns into 2 weeks cubed! Always.

Hope all is well by now. It could have been worse. There could have been a fan below the tank and everyone knows that when the #### hits the fan that is the worst case. The problem should be easy to fix and I predict you will have many memorable trips. Maybe not as memorable as your first one though. You will always have stories to tell in the future.

When you pick up the repaired trailer make sure you do a COMPLETE PDI on the entire TT. Fill All the tanks to the top and then dump them. Check EVERYTHING.
