Trip was fun with a few laughs. Water hose 10 short. had to have co-Axe cable made, could not figuer out why smoke detector would go off when trying heat ( newness burning off) no outlets worked, called dealer said i needed to buy a new GFI plug. Opened it up wire was broken off. Also had breaker from pole give out. Oh and one dent in front bumper.
Best part is it was well worth it.
PS also purchased a new truck to make it easier to tow. when from a 6 cyl to a hemi V8

Yeah, on our second trip, the breaker was weak and would trip out with only a couple things on. I guess this may be pretty common?

Weak breakers are not common. Too many amps being drawn and the breaker tripping normally is.

Our "maiden voyage" was about 15 miles from home and most everything played well together. We did run into a number of glitches in our month long trip out to California but I carry tools and spares. I expected electrical issues with a newly installed Morningstar Sursine inverter and a replaced Morningstar solar controller so took extra wire connectors (I use Anderson Power Poles) a small propane torch for soldering connectors.

We just purchased our first travel trailer. Got a new tow vehicle since we did not have one. We have been on two trips and had a great time, although our cat would disagree. Our next trip will be from Oregon to Virginia at the beginning of November.
My wife still cannot back the trailer up....

Find a BIG parking lot and practice, practice, practice.....before doing it with obsticles.
As for tripping breakers we all have done it. Search the archives for the appliance volts/amps list. Usually coffee pot, toaster, microwave won't all work at the same time. 1500 wat elect heater with any of the kitchen stuff is a no no. You'll figure it out.

Thanks Adam for the suggestion. My wife is good at a lot of things, but backing up with a trailer is just going to have to be my responsibility. :-)
