I just graduated to from a 20ft 1973 holiday traveler that we used locally to a very very clean 1978 24ft fleetwing 5th wheel. We travel from Ne Ky every summer to see family. I plan on pulling this 5th wheel there next summer. It is in very good shape so im not worried at all about its age. I just cannot find any info about the fleetwing company. Does anyone know anything about them? I was going to try the vintage camper forums but they said in big letters that they consider vintage as 69 and older.

Never heard of that brand, but hopefully someone here knows of it. But Welcome and Happy travels!

Here is all I could find. If you search out the name of the town they were made in perhaps it will help.

Fleetwing Travelers was first involved in the recreational vehicle industry in the 1970s selling travel and fifth wheel trailers, truck campers, park model and Class C motorhomes. A Nappanee, Indiana-based company, there was no production under the Fleetwing Travelers name between 1981 and 1984 but restarted for an additional 4-year run. Ranging from 12 to 35 feet in length, Fleetwing Travelers trailers dominated the product offering list.

Actually, for iRV2, vintage is anything older than 20 years. So post away in the Vintage Forum if you'd like.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?
