freezer not defrosting

My freezer has stopped defrosting and therefore temperature is rising. It is a Norcold N611RT and as far as I know it is the original installed in my 07 RVision RWagon M300. I defrosted with a hair dryer 3-4 weeks ago, but it used to defrost very well on its on. I purchased my trailer used and unfortulately no manuals were included. I downloaded one for the Norcold refer and cannot find anything on the defroster. Any ideas?

They may exist but I haven't seen a Norcold with a freezer defroster.

Can I make the assumption that the unit is not displaying any trouble codes?

I don't think your refrigerator has a defroster or defrost mode. It would require a heating element in the freezer, which the manual shows no evidence. There is a divider heater to reduce condensation to the gaskets between the two boxes. Also a heater for the ice maker water line.

If your freezer didn't ice up in the past but does now, most likely the gasket has failed allowing air into the freezer compartment. Check that the door closes properly and adjust if needed, also you may look to buy a new gasket, although some refrigerator models require a new door, the gasket isn't sold separately. (I don't know if yours falls in that category)
