Freshwater tank

Hooked up to city water and fresh water is overflowing.

I am on the and have only my cell. Any ideas as to what causes this?

Do you have a valve for filling the tank? If so turn it off.

Sounds like a check valve is leaking by somewhere.

On many RV's there is a valve that directs the city water flow to either fill the tank, or provide water to the shower, toilet, sinks etc. Find that valve and make sure it is in the correct position.

Also, there could be a leaking one-way valve in the water pump.

Show me what is strange is it it just started during the trip the other day. Have not had any issues until yesterday morning when I noticed it.I have to look into it closer when we get to Sturgis.

Try this.
Trailer water fills on city water - fix.
Very common problem. The solution usually is.
Disconnect city water
Turn on faucet to relieve pressure.
Turn on water pump
run water for 30 seconds.
Turn off faucet and allow water pump to run until it stops
Turn off water pump
reconnect city water.

Lots of times just running the pump with and without city water turned on will flush the piece of calcium out of the check valve in the pump.
