Friction Sway Bar

Anyone have a solution to the moaning and groaning my friction sway bar makes when turning at low speed ?

grease any pivot points, hitch ball, etc. The noise may not be coming from inside the sway bar.

If it is bothering you that much you could loosen the adjusting screw while you driving slowly around town or the camp ground and tighten it before you hit the highway. I don't mind the noise because it lets me know that it is working.

I got rid of my friction sway and wouldnt look back. Ended up going with a Blue Ox SwayPro and it's awesome!

I remember reading that if it makes noise you make it tighter.

didn't make sense when I read it.....

Normally there are two fixes
1. Turn up the radio
2. Change to a hitch that doesn't need that friction device like the Equal-I-Zer!
They are good.
