Getting trailer ready

I haven't used my trailer in 2 years and I want to take it out this fall. Other than dewinterizing it, what else should I do to get it ready? Thanks.

Well, brakes and bearings to start. Then start with a complete PDI. Fire up everything and look for signs of critters. Your first trip will tell the story.

Most important is tires.

I think I'd camp in my driveway a few nights and take a few short jaunts after your satisfied with the bearings and tires before heading out on an actual camping adventure..

Definitely check those tires, brakes, bearings. When you have the hubs off, make sure the brake arms aren't frozen in place and will actually let the brakes shoes move. Put some water in the system and make sure there are no loose fittings in the system, same with gas lines, fire up the water heater, etc. Camp in the driveway, go a short way from home for a night. Then go have fun!

I would really flush out the pipes. Having it sit for 2 years you need to get
them really clean. If you have not done so look for any signs on tires that
will warrant replacement. The sun is not friendly with sitting tires.

If you watch the water heater gas lines to the burner for spider webs. I
had the issue for the last 2 years. It hard to believe the webs will cause
so much problems.
