We plan to join the ranks of FT next year. I've been gathering dozens of brochures...have some sites memorized...& have lost count of the # of books I've been reading. As I will be leaving work 2 yrs before soc sec, & Larry 7 yrs before, we have decided to lean heavily into boondocking as we get out there-min 50%? (We are currently still tent campers-so we know the concept.) We're looking at the RT 28RKW. Living near the Windy city there are NO Excel dealers near us. We are going to LoW in IA in May & are considering a stop at the PI factory for a tour. I find nothing on the site as to setting up a tour...do you just call? How long is the tour? Also, do they have models on display there? Thanks for listening!!!!

Full-timing is only a distant dream for us. I still have 14 years until retirement.

We were fortunate while our kids were growing up to be able to go on 3-week vacations. My wife is a teacher and I had a job where I could be away as long as I kept in touch. So, we made a commitment to try to get to the lower 48 before the kids got out of high school...and we did it! West coast trips were a little tough to do in 3 weeks but we did it...twice.
