Does anyone out there have experience with Good Sam's Extended Service Plan - Gold?
I received a quote that I feel is very fair. Coverage seems to be very good with the exception of the brake system where it looks like they'll cover the caliper and not much else.
I'd prefer responses from those who have actual experience. Hearsay not weigh much in my mind. I'm not trying to start a slam Good Sam thread.
Additionally, if anyone has good experience with any other Extended Service plans, please provide some input and examples. Links would be nice too.
We've been fulltime going on 2 years now and obviously using the systems much more that most RV'ers.

While in Alaska a few years ago Good Sam paid for a rear end seal and new power steering pump no questions asked. I bought another policy with my new rig and haven't had to use it yet .
I hope that with the recession and all that they are still good.

I have Interstate Star and I am very happy with them. The local Workhorse facility told me Good Sam CSP (now ESP) is the best to work with.

Good Sam ESP. Lost transmission in Alpine, Texas. Got towed to a transmission shop in Odessa ,Texas, Camping World Road Service same as Good Sam. Towing cost $0. Transmission Repair $2,500 plus rental car, motel, meals. Our cost, $250, for the deductable. I wouldn't start the engine without this coverage. It's worth the peace of mind. Is it cost effective in the long run ? How much is peace of mind worth ?

Check and make sure what they will cover on a 5th wheel and or tow vehicle. My experience with them is for a class A diesel.

Yes, Good Sam ERS is NOT the same as Continued or Extended Service Plan, ERS is great, Ive used it for towing and it works great. As far as ESP I haven't had to use it yet.
