It was sad day on 4-11-2011 when the place we store our TT at sent out an email to all owners requesting that we all come out to check an see how much damage was done from the last severe storm that rolled through in the early morning hours. We live in Frisco, Tx. an our trailer is stored in Prosper, Tx. which is maybe just about 5 or more miles north. Good thing our TT is insured under our home owners insurance! Haven't gotten the est. yet. All one side has damage, the roof skylight is done for, anything plastic is gone including the a/c cover.

Sorry to hear that. Unbelievable. If that were mine I would be thankful my family wasn't in it during the storm.

Our previous 5er was hail-damaged, but not that extensive. The insurance company paid for repairs, and it looked like new. It was all aluminum though.

Wow, what a mess. I hope you can get it fixed quickly so you can get back to camping.

Really hate to see damage like you had. Our unit is stored near Roanoke on Hwy 170.
After reading your post, I went to check our trailer and thankfully found no damage. Hope that you get your trailer back in shape soon.

Safe travels

Jim

Thankfully my diesel is an everyday truck, or it would have been stored w/ it. I saw one other diesel stored out there and they were missing the front windshield. It was reported on the news that the hail was golf ball to just a bit larger in dia. Some yards in Prosper were totally covered like it just snowed! I think the adjuster went out to my trailer a couple of days ago (today being Saturday) but am anxious to find out what it's final cost might be. Then I will need to find out if the place I store it at can do most is not all of the repairs. I know they do windshield replacement for the million dollar RV's, but replacing a wall I'm sure is totally different and much more complicated!

First of all, I am sorry for your loss. Glad no one was physically hurt, only property damage.

I am also curious about the tornado in Alvarado. We spent last fall & part of this past winter in the ABC RV park off of Hwy 67. Was the tornado any where near the ABC RV Park?

Hey, I know how your feel. Been there with my class a that was less than a year old. Golf ball size hail while we were in it at a dog show. Was not pretty. The good thing was no windows broke but plenty of dents. My insurance company was great to work with, had a check within a week.

Good luck to you.

Thanks, ABC RV Park is about 2 miles west of I-35 on HWY 67. I imagine it would have been pretty scary in an RV in this storm.
