Hall of shame forum
Is there a hall of shame forum or can one be made?
it would help others to avoid shady business practices......

From your title i thought it would be totally stupid things we have done with our campers. If that were so, 10-4 Go for it. Got my vote !!

My top 2
1. Pull unit off with power cord still plugged in to shop ! ( new door on shop )
2. Pulling forward after hooking up without raising tongue jack ( lucky, no damage, just pulled it off of block )

I'm not sure that is what he meant, but I like your theory:
1) Heading out on the road with everything connected to the truck except the 7 pin trailer plug. Doesn't stop so well without that.
2) Going into a campground culdesac that was too tight to turn in one shot.

Yep ! Sounds like a new category to me ! You made me remember pulling up to a closed area gate with no way to turn around without backing 20+ times, lucky a campground host opened the gate so we could turn around, Moral of story, believe the signs !!!

Not sure this is what the OP wanted but my biggest mishap was driving off with the Awning still out!

And I was thinking how I would sure love to list a whole bunch of politicians in a hall of shame.. But alas.. That is not allowed here..
However listing bad dealers, and service centers would be a good thing.
Example... There is a product (NO-NO) advertised on TV and they talk about how it is getting RAVE reviews.
So for the fun of it I checked the reviews the product got on AMAZON.
They were Raving about it all right... RAVING MAD about 90 to 2 against.
What is worse...... They reviews were just what I expected (Ok, so I know how things work, or in this case how things can go wrong).

Pulling forward without disconnecting the chains (and setting off the emergency breakaway switch).

"We'll beat any deal, anywhere!!!" Says the big RV dealer in Amarillo on TV and radio ads.... but when I beat it, I was told not to bring it there for service because they wouldn't work on it. When I offered and extra thousand to make up for the trip to get it... same answer... Buyer beware.

Not what I meant although not a bad idea....
I would liek to see a forum where people can discuss their experiences with shady dealers, manufacturers and advise on who not to use for repairs...
It could also have trusted dealers and companies that work hard to earn your business and should be notes....

Oh, and heres one of my stories:
Pulled into the camp site late and only had about 20 minutes before night fall. Didn;t realize I parked on a hill!, Pulled the truck away form the hitch and the whole trailer started going down the hill....ikes! took two of us to stop it from rolling and yes the whell chocks were under the wheels. it just rolled right over them...
Now, can we get back to the real topic?

One could also be a 1st time owner of a used TT and say "I wonder what this handle does?", pull it and learn how the black tank drains. I would never say I did that, but.......
