The two trailers in my mind that a above average are Grand Design Reflection and Winnebago Mini and Mini Plus.

I second that suggestion. Also, if you want a better insulated trailer for cold weather camping, consider Arctic Fox or Northwood.
Prior to purchasing our Bay Star last spring, we owned a 2014 Minnie 2201 DS and it was well built and served us well. Grand Design is now owned by Winnebago.
You may want to consider purchasing a really good used trailer for your first trailer as it takes some experience to know what you really want in terms of size and features. If you purchase a slightly used trailer, you'll take a much smaller hit if you decide to trade it in on a different trailer. One thing I really liked on the Minnie was the outdoor kitchen. But, with us taking long trips, we found that we wanted more room (previously, we had owned a 28' foot trailer with dinette and couch. We downsized when we moved into our 55+ community and couldn't have a 3/4 or 1 ton pick-up as the garage is too small. With the Minnie, we ended up removing the dinette and replacing it with a nice Flexsteel couch. And, we learned that we really didn't care for the slide out which was a step up slide out. I think Winnebago has changed the slide out design in some of their Minnie line.
Good luck in your search!
