Help with new battery!

So the piece of junk battery that came with the rv crapped out on my while in storage. Since then, I bought a battery disconnect switch. Got the new battery put in, hooked up and there is no power going to anything. I removed the disconnect then hooked it up as normal and still nothig. My little battery test button inside the tt is not lighting up at all. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Not finding anything in that thread. Checked all of my breakers and fuses and everything looks good. Is there some type of reset that i am missing? Checked the new battery with a voltmeter and its reading 12.6 so its good.

Also, everything works while plugged into shore. When the shore power is disconnected, there is nothing from the new battery.

I also do not see any inline fuses on the positive lead anywhere.

Also, just plugged it into shore and the battery is still reading 12.6. I have read that is should read 13.6 to show that the converter is working.

Figured it out!!!!! There is a small double post under the frame where the battery cables connect with a small reset button. Pressed it and all is good now.

I hate to bring this up, but since it was a reset button, are you absolutely SURE that the "piece of junk" battery you replaced was bad?

Lol yeah. I have a battery charger and it would not hold a charge. Took it up to sears for them to test it and they had the same results. I have heard that batteries on chassis are sold as new when you buy the TT, but that is not always the case.

Plus it was leaking water around the terminals so the interior seals were more than likely bad.

Your last comment is spot on. And you probably already know that on things like batteries, dealerships will tell you that you have to deal directly with the battery manufacturer, NOT the Coach Manufacturer, or Dealership on warranty issues! That said, the batteries on your "brand new" coach are sometimes as old as 3 years by the time you purchase, and have NOT been treated well! Always make replacement of batteries with new (less than 6 months old by date stamp) a condition of sale!
