I spoke with them at an RV show a few years ago about this. You would have to give them a call. I would buy a different brand and save the tens of thousands for other things. You should be able to get any OutdoorsRV(Blackstone) or Northwood(Silver Fox) you would want for <50K.

I was just curious... I'm settled on 3 TTs that are reasonable and seem to have reasonable reputations... That's right... settled... on 3...

My wife and I have recently been shopping and ended up with a fifth wheel. However the Open Range 340FLR was at the top of our list for a travel trailer.

It's basically a fifth wheel floor plan in reverse. Huge ceilings with a ceiling fan. Raised bedroom with a massive amount of storage for a TT. Huge bathroom with prep for a washer / dryer. Even higher end features like MCD roller shades.

I'd consider a 5er if I didn't need my pickup bed so badly. The picture in my avatar is me with a 13' wingspan glider model. I carry 3 or 4 of those and all the support equipment to places all over... and camp out instead of staying in hotels... At some of the places, the RV sites are at the flying field, but usually, they aren't. I'll be retired in about a year, and will be going a lot more. I'm looking for a better-built unit so I can go more, and fix less.

We bought a 2014 30' Forest River Ultra Lite 2604. It had the floor plan that felt like home for both of us...a walk around bed, good size shower, good separation between the bedroom, bathroom, and living area. It wasn't the cheapest available, but not too expensive either. We can't wait to put some serious miles on her tires.

We have the 280 RKSB Blackstone and love ours. We had a few issues that have been taken care of by the dealer. The Blackstone is advertised as the step down from a 5er. You get a lot of the comforts of the 5er without the extra steps into the bedroom. Most of the conveniences are standard on the Blackstone model. The only thing we added to ours were toppers on the slideouts.

Sounds like you need a toy hauler for your flying toys.

TT quality mfg

We are considering the possibility of replacing our fifth with a travel trailer. Have been doing a bit of looking and so far impressed with Outdoors over many others. They are affiliated with Northwood, builders of Arctic Fox.

From the reading I have done on iRV2 over time it seems no rig is immune to problems. The key to resolution is a good dealer. Not as easy to find as one might wish, at least in our area. Next best is a trusted independent who can do warrantee work.

The web site for Outdoors:
Outdoors RV Mfg

Good luck and happy hunting.

Thank you in advance for your opinions!
Did the same thing recently. Am waiting for my new Arctic Fox 32A which will be off the line tomorrow. I am concerned about quality construction to include all season insulation for both hot and cold climates. We also wanted a TT and not a 5th wheel. Have had those also.

I enjoy making these changes and personalizing to my tastes.
Great idea. I usually change out the toilet to a china one and the shower head with an oxygenics. I did not know the bathroom faucets could be replaced with residential ones. Thanks
