I saw this article in my new Farm Show magazine and thought it might be interesting to trailer haulers. URL HERE

I think he may need some help with the company name but the thing looks like it might help.

I see that the link doesn't work because of the questionable name but here it is in code.

Not near enough coil spring travel on that gizmo. It would bottom out on the first gas station entrance it came to. Can't be more than 2" to 4" of travel for the spring. Probably blow out the tire real quick when it gets to the first dip in the road that puts all of the weight of the rear of the TV Plus trailor tongue weight on it.

The Htichhelper can safely travel up to 65 mph. Wow, guess people will have to slow down in some of the western states.

B-range tire good for up to 500 lb tongue weight and C-range tire good for up to 900 lb tongue weight. Gee, won't a WD hitch handle more weight?

With a price tag of $649, a person could buy a good WD hitch.

Don't think I need a "hitch helper". I think I can get an Equalizer hitch for about the same amount and get weight distribution and sway control.

It doesn't appear to be designed for a PT Cruiser.
I think it's more for pickups and suv's. I know it wouldn't work on my MH,

I'm sorry Donavon, I hadn't updated my signature to include the 3/4 ton Silverado I bought for camping, nor have I now included the 1985 Scottsdale (1/2 ton) I own that I don't intend to take camping. I also didn't include all of my trailers. I have a total of 4 trailers. They are: a 650 lb 4'X7' fiberglass enclosed trailer, a 2,000 lb 5X8 enclosed trailer, the Trillium Outback (originally 13' and 1,500 lb, now 16' and 2,000 lb), to an 8,000 pound 26' double axel trailer with a 55' tower on it.

I know I don't have millions of miles on the road or thousands of posts on this forum, but I think I made valid points.

None of my comments related to using the Hitchhelper with a specific vehicle. I just addressed what appear to me to be deficiencies in the design and and recommended "safe" speed and weight limits.

Again, I'm sorry the ommissions in my signature led you to believe that I was talking about using the Hitchhelper with my PT Cruiser.
