I'm sorry Donavon, I hadn't updated my signature to include the 3/4 ton Silverado I bought for camping, nor have I now included the 1985 Scottsdale (1/2 ton) I own that I don't intend to take camping. I also didn't include all of my trailers. I have a total of 4 trailers. They are: a 650 lb 4'X7' fiberglass enclosed trailer, a 2,000 lb 5X8 enclosed trailer, the Trillium Outback (originally 13' and 1,500 lb, now 16' and 2,000 lb), to an 8,000 pound 26' double axel trailer with a 55' tower on it.
I know I don't have millions of miles on the road or thousands of posts on this forum, but I think I made valid points.
None of my comments related to using the Hitchhelper with a specific vehicle. I just addressed what appear to me to be deficiencies in the design and and recommended "safe" speed and weight limits.
Again, I'm sorry the ommissions in my signature led you to believe that I was talking about using the Hitchhelper with my PT Cruiser.
