Hi superduty,
Starcraft has manufacturered RV's since 1964. They started in the tent trailer business and were a well-respected competitor to Coleman tent trailers.

I know nothing about the Homestead Lite products they are now producing, but if they continue to build with the quality of their tent trailers, I think you can rely on them. Check out the website: www.starcraftrv.com/

Do not know the Homestead but we have a 2000 Starcraft 31ft. with slide. Love it-well made and good record behind them.

Superduty - here is a not so good review. My g/f and I bought a 2006 19CK which is part of the Homestead lite line I believe. Since we bought it in Nov 2005 we've had to replace the front canvas, the dinette table, adjust the shower fan, replace the radio due to a short, get a leak fixed at the rear of the toilet, repair leaking water from the shower into the kitchen area, molding has popped out, the sunroof window in the shower leaked, and the A/C started dripping condensation through the control panel and onto the kitchen floor. All of these problems occurred during purchasing walk-through or discovered while on a trip. And we've only used the unit 5 times and nothing too extreme and all close by campgrounds. Our feeling is that Starcraft is very good in quality and that we just got a lemon and maybe after a few times these bugs will cease and no more of these problems. But, we are looking at trade-in options and considering the ultra-lites by Keystone-Zeppelin and Forest River - Rockwood units. Good luck!!

Thanks for the replies, but I decided to go with a non-lite model. I ordered a Cherokee by forest river 31Z+. It should be here in about 2 weeks!
