Wow! Just got this unit and it is SO quiet! Only weighs about 250 lbs. and will light up the world! So quiet you can stand right beside it and carry on a regular conversation without raising your voice!

Yep, the Honday inverter line is hard to beat (except for the cost...)

"Only 250 pounds"???? How are you going to move it around? That is the main reason I bought a Boliy PRO3600si genset, 77#- full of gas and oil. I can move it easily myself, and it starts my 15K heat pump easily.

Where do you carry the 6500? I'm assuming you do not have a 5th wheel trailer?

Have you found a way to plug in a 50 amp cord and use it not just a 50a to 30a dog bone?

I looked at the new Honda 6500ie Inverter genset, but I prefer my Honda 3000ie Inverter set. The primary reason is economy. The 6500 uses more than twice as much fuel on a given load. Runs almost 22 hours on light load, 14-16 hours at 2/3 full load. Tank full of fuel is only 3.5 gal. The 3000 runs my AC, Microwave ect, no problem. In addition as pointed out it weighs in a #250. My 3000 is 134# and worse case scenario I can man handle it around. 250# forget it! Bought my 3000 in 2001 has more than 2500 hours on it runs like a top and no problems. Still cheap at $1800.00

I got the EU2000i to keep my batteries charged and run the microwave...it's about 45# and easy enough for me to tote around. If I need more juice, I will just buy a second one and run them in parallel.

The inverter type generators are very quiet at no load or a light load. However, as the load increases so does the engine RPM as well as the usual increases in induction and exhaust noise.

In fact, an Onan 'Quiet Diesel" that seems so quiet at low loads is actually loader than an air cooled LP generator without the fancy sound proofing when pulling 2 AC's.

The Boliy 3600 watt generator appears to be made in China - do a google search of the company BOTTOM LINE TRADING and they seem to export from China.

If we go with a high-end fiver for fulltiming (assuming there will be something left to buy at that time!) I will be mounting a Honda eu6500 Honda on the rear receiver hitch inside a custom box with a built-in fuel tank. It will also have the remote start and hour-meter inside the rig. I figure if I'm going to haul a genset around, we might as we get 50 amp service out of it, especially with two 15K air conditioners!

Yes, it's a product of China, designed in Germany. Mine is very quiet and thrifty on gas. It will power one 15K heat pump, TV, water pump, lighting, frig, at the same time. Just for a test, I sat two bag chairs beside the genset while it was powering the above items. Wife and I sat with the genset running between us for a hour without any annoyance or hinderance carrying on a conversation.
