RVGuy1966 - If you want to see a solar forum visit the boondocking forum here. Lots of solar discussion there and generators for that matter.

Generators.
Whats to know? Buy a contractor style gen and you'll be the most hated person in the CG. Buy a Honda or Yamaha or any of the quiet gens and you won't make enemies.

Honda and Yamaha are to two top rated gens out there.

Very true... buy a Honda or Yamaha or generator with similar db ratings or your neighbors will let you know you made the wrong choice.

well, I have a project this spring. I am building a dampening box for my generator, I will have an extra attachment for the exhaust to make it quieter and the box will be lined with fireproof material. there will be a whole cut out for intake as well.

it will fit on the front over the battery and propane tanks for storage.

IF I actually get it done AND it works I will post photos.
