how do I open my awning????

Stupid question but I'm powerwashing my 1990 Terry Travel trailer and cannot figure out how to open the awning. There appears to be a lock halfway down on both sides but no way to release it. Any hints???

On the upper right hand side of the roller is a lever, that needs to be in the open position. Then you need to pull on the strap until the unrolls all the way out. You then lock the levers in place and tighten the knob. If you have question go online to A&E Awnings and they should have an online manual and procedures. Sonetimes mine gets stuck at the top near the roller and I have to manually shake them.

Release the two side latches on the arms. (the ones you mentioned) Then turn the latch on the forward arm that Arnold is talking about.

There are no latches, just a button type mechanism, it says lock on the side label but can't figure out how to release it. Thanks for the quick responses.

See if the button pushes in to release arms.

Got it, thank for all your help. Just needed a little WD40 to turn the locks.
