How Much Discount for New Travel Trailer

My daughter and son in law are looking at new travel trailers. How much discount off the list price can one expect to get? I have a motor home and we have usually started negotiating at 30% off the list price. I have no idea what you can expect on a TT. Can anyone help me out on this.

Thanks,
Jon

When I bought my TT it was about 30% off the invoice price on a new trailer, give or take a few percent. From my research buying something about three years old is the best value. 30% off new 18% depreciation on first year 12% the second and 10% on the third. Huge savings. But if you are like me, it is nice to have something new that no one else has owned. Hope this helped.

30% off the MSRP, OK. But who sets the MSRP? Many of the real nice TT's can MSRP at or over 40K. I have an Outdoors RV TT and I think the MSRP was a little over 40K, that would put the price at <30. Well, that didn't happen. I paid a fair price, not a great one. I am going to guess that really, about 20% off + tax and lic will be closer. But, walk in, and be ready to walk out if your price isn't met. Dealers want what you have more than what is on their lot.
