How old is too old to own a travel trailer?
I am retired. I full timed in a 40 motorhome for 8 years. We live in a condo now and miss he lifestyle. Have looked at class B motorhomes. Like the look of the Jayco White Hawk 30 foot trailer. Would buy a new F140 to pull it.
I am 69 and in very good health.
Anyone here like me going from a big pusher back to pulling a trailer?

Is your question, should I get another RV at 69, or specifically about the transition from a MH to a TT? If it is the former and that is what I wanted to do, I would not hesitate. You are not getting any younger.
We transitioned from having a TC since the late '70s to a 26' MH last year because at 77 and 70 my wife wanted something that rode better, that didn't require climbing to get into the bed (afraid of falling), and had a bathroom handy at all times. We traveled between 7 and 8k miles with it this year and plan about the same next year. I plan to continue until I am no longer a safe driver. Life brings changes and we adapt, at least that's my way of seeing it.
Best of luck with the decision.

If you think you can do it then do it. I've seen older people doing this all the time. I am 65 and just bought my 1st Travel Trailer this past July. I had never towed in my life before and that was my initial hesitation, I'm in my 60's why would I want to learn to tow now? But I changed my attitude and glad I did. (so far). It has been fun. Go for it and have fun.

As I get older, the last thing I would do is buy a towable. Much more work to set up than a small motorhome.
Ran into a guy years ago that had just bought a new 40ft coach. Later found out he was 90! Three years later we ran into him again and he had just bought a new 40 footer with 4 slides because his wife wanted more room

You are never too old. We are all aging but old is a state of mind.

I'll be 69 in November and we just purchased a small travel trailer. We used to have a motorhome years back and like the OP we missed the lifestyle. As long as you have the energy and the capability I don't think age has anything to do with it. There is no such thing as an age limit as to when you can tow a trailer.

Age isn't the barrier; ability is.

My DW had a 35' Georgie Boy Cruisemaster when we met in 2001. During the 14 years we owned it, there were many-many-many local outings, several cross-country trips, a 3-month trip to all four corners of the US, a 6-week journey to Fairbanks-Anchorage-Homer.
Last year we purchased our current 2005 Excursion DP and this summer made a 7,000-mile trip from Seattle to Orlando. I turned 77 this year (DW is 72) and we hope to keep rolling as long as the money lasts :-)

We came out of 6 motorhomes -- 3 gas and 3 diesel from 31 to 40 feet. Three years ago we sold the last motorhome and purchased a new Ram 1500 Hemi and a 24' trailer. This is our first time towing and we have spent the last three winters in it and are very pleased with the truck and trailer. We are a little older than you and plan on traveling as long as we can. We have some friends in their mid 80's who just bought a new motorhome and don't plan to stop until they can't do it any more. So if you can still get around and enjoy the lifestyle -- do it! Good luck.

Bells harbor, how do you like the Ram? I am looking at the Ram and the Ford F-150.
