Seeing that fiberglass batt insulation makes me cringe. Many manufacturers do the same thing with a R15 batt and a layer of foil and call it a R40 roof. Most people are not aware of the games they play. If they really wanted to reflect heat they would use a roofing layer that has a high reflection rate.
Most of these trailers will be mold infested in less than 10 years, and a serious waste of resources.
A rigid vacuum bonded foam board structure with integrated aluminum supports is the only way to go for longevity.

Makes you wonder what might be wrong in the sidewalls and floor that you can't see.

Has me really considering a Class C now with a full wrap around fiberglass roof. I know everyone cringes at government regulations but something has to be done to protect the buyer from shoddy workmanship and no standards in the RV Industry.

Great share. Makes me want to buy a Big Foot or an Escape. Of course it's like taking out a mortgage. I appreciate the video. I was really down to my final selection on the GD. No more. I would love these guys to show other makes of trailers on re-roofing.

That's one trailer built by one mfg that was just bought by Winnebago. I'll just stick with OutdoorsRV. You do what you want.

Good video...thanks for posting!

I wonder what the cost was for that job. Looks like money well spent.

Wow, I knew RVs were not built well back in 2010 but in 2019 I would have thought quality control would have improved.

Do all RV's use OSB on the roof?

Most houses use OSB on the roof. There is nothing wrong with OSB as an underlayment.

Outdoors RV does Not use OSB, chip board or particle board. If you want to see what they use, it's on their suite in many videos.
