Started prepping the TT Friday for first trip departure coming later this week and found out the mice had a heck of a party in there all winter. Had several nests inside, one with a litter of lil ones. The cabinet under the sink, the drawer under the couch and the general overall interior had debris and mouse droppings everywhere. Found one spot where they were stealing food from the dogs bowl on the back porch, smuggling it in and stockpiling it. What a mess! We've scrubbed everything from top to bottom and took everything out and cleaned it.

I did locate their entrance. They are climbing up the right rear tire, jumping on the hot water low point drain, shinnyding up and had knawed through the foam sealer around the pipe coming in under the sink cabinetry.

When we get back I'm going to lay glue traps inside and build a screen box to put over all 3 drain lines to end that problem.

I had them chew holes in the cavas of a old pop-up I had and from then on I keep those green blocks of mouse and rat killer in the camper and in the refriderator vent compartment of the camper.. When they eat that they go to find water and die outside ..Now that we have little dogs we always buy the ones sealed in plastic cases... Don't wait until you find a snake skin in it... That really freaks you out..

I learned (from my Nissan service rep) to put moth balls in and/or around any area you want to protect and the mice will stay away. They were getting under the hood of my car and chewing the windshield washer hose. Since I started this, no more mice.

there isone more alternative, peppermint oil (available ar GNC) ,

use a small plastic container, soak 2-3 cotton balls, and leave them

inside the camper, motorhome etc. They hate the smell and will disappear.

Reseal the foam from inside and go under the belly and stuff steel wool in the holes from the underbelly and you will never have a problem again. Also if u had dryer sheets all over the inside they would of mostly stayed right where they got in. Still wool works great the only thing they can't eat

Snakes... LOVE mice...Same as Cats do

They think they taste YUMMY.

True story: Woman in on CG where I had to do an extended stay a couple years back ask if I was having any Mice issues.

No...I have cats.

Moth balls definitely do the trick. I scatter them in my attic & basement prior to their fall pilgrimage to my house. Since I've been doing this - almost no mice. I used to get dozens since I have the only warm structure in the area.

Moths balls are the biggest mistake I put them in my old tt and around it one winter that smell never went away that smell was one of the problems why I sold it. I will never even look at moth balls again

I thought dyer sheets and mothballs worked until the mice proved me wrong!! You have to find out where they are coming in and seal the entrance. Traps are a good back up plan but not foolproof.

First, this only works if you're not allergic to cats. Find a friend who has a cat, ideally a big male one. Get a couple of his pee balls from the kitty box and put them in a loose plastic bag. Put the bag in the trailer. The mice will skeedadle faster than light. I use this on boats with rats. Remove and dispose of the pee balls and then seal up the holes with steel wool, if they are big holes use that pot cleaner stuff thats made from wound metal.
