It might be good, IF THEY LOAD TESTED IT and is stood up good then it should be ok.
FYI I have used Interstate batteries for years and they hold up as good as any other brands, if one did go bad I had no problem exchanging it for a new one. Good Luck and Happy Camping

If the voltage is that low it takes a constant current charger to charge it. Most are constant voltage and will fault for over current. You can charge it with a very low value resistance in series with the battery and a constant voltage charger. It takes a couple of amps to do it. I use an old style headlight bulb.

I would never trust that battery. 3.6v is ridiculously dead. At 100% discharge the battery would read 11.9v. It's a doorstop.

Crazy as it sounds, but my company, Exide, now makes Interstate batteries! Found out yesterday that we've been making them since the first of the year. So, they are a customer of ours AND the competition!
Yeah, my head's still trying to make sense of it all!

If the battery is a Marine/RV designation, it only comes with a 12/18/36 month replacement warranty Depending on purchase date and battery group number. No pro-rata credit after that.

I would upgrade to 2- 6 volt golf cart batteries, from Interstate

The chart I just looked at shows 10.5 volts as dead for a 12 volt battery.

Dead, as in fully discharged, not ready for the junk pile.
If its actually dead ( Failed ), it will not recharge to 12.4 volts or it will have very little capacity when recharged.

Most chargers will not turn on to even charge a battery that low. I would hook jumper cables to it while it is fully disconnected from everything else. Bring the voltage up with the auto's own battery and charging system for about 10 minutes and then hook it to an automatic charger. I have a gas powered golf cart that uses an automotive battery and the stereo system often drains my battery below 9v and I have had it go down to 3.8 once. It came back using this method. A surface cha,rge allows the charger to turn on. Most will not charge anything below 10.5v as they won't turn on. A strong battery by itself can provide a surface charge for the low battery but then it must be recharged also.

Its true that some auto chargers and inverter/chargers need to sense some kind of voltage from the battery that its hooked to, but an RV converter/charger will charge a stone dead battery.
The converter is designed as a regulated power supply, to run the RV 12 volt systems without a battery. A very low battery will charge.

Even GC batteries atr 3.6 volt for the pair it would be IFFY but recovery NIGHT happen.. You don't know till you charge 'em back up.
Do you have just one or do you have 2 and if you have 2 do you have a couple inches extra "headroomn">
Reason for asking, A pair of GC-2 will fint in a pair of Group 24 tray but hey are taller
Group 24 abou 25 amp hours each 150 total and you can use perhaps 20-25 percent of that or around 30-35 amnp hours
A pair of GC-2. 220 amp hours give or take a bit and you can use halfm that's 55-70 amp hours.. DOUBLE the power.. for the same cost
NOTE the GC-2's need to be wried in series
-6V+=-6V+ = 12 volts
-12+
-12+ also = 12 volts.

If the battery is more than a year old there is no warranty.
Did you call....800.538.9300 for Marine/RV batteries.

We have one on our TT. If it starts acting up it will not be replaced with an Interstate. It will get a Deep Cycle Trojan. Our TT is solar ready do guess it can handle the T105
|
