Just asking to see if anyone knows how I can find if the TT I am thinking about buying is really new and a used one. Kind of like a CarFax for TTs.

Is it on a dealers lot? Being sold as new?

Might be kind of illegal to sell a used trailer when it is being represented as new...

Nothing like CarFax for RVs, and CarFax is purely voluntary so it can't be depended on for cars either.

Look at the Manufacturer's Statement of Orgin. If it has an MSO, then it has never been registered. If it has a title, then someone registered it for some reason, so it's probably used.

I ran into a guy that I had talked to on an RV lot the week before. He was the dealer's son, and was using a new unit for the weekend. He said the dealership would clean it up Monday and it would go back on the new lot... Kinda cheezy if ya ask me...

Kind of illegal if you ask me.. but then I am not a lawyer.. But If I found the rig I'd bought had been used for anything beyond a parked, jacks down, walk through with runners on the carpet.

I'd be hiring one.
