Unhappy Jam Latch Issue ?

Both of the jam latches on my pass thru storage area are almost non-functional. It requires both hands to open the door as it is necessary to push on the door (quite forcefully) with one hand while pulling up on the latch with the other. The latch is not being retracted enough to clear the stop block behind the door, They never really worked very well, even brand new. It looks like an 1/8" square drive to pull the cover off so I might try that later today. Has anyone had this issue?

Try installing small washer on the back of the lock. This may give you the extra bit of clearance that you need.
