Just noticed this - how should I fix it?
Was just about to lock the trailer up after winterizing it and noticed this star shaped cracking on the topcoat of my fibreglass TT.
How should I fix this/prevent it from getting worse?

Looks like an impact from the inside! It should not get any larger..

If you try to fix it, you may simply make it chip and get worse. It may be best to leave it alone, or seal it with something.

I'm guessing you get a bit of freeze/thaw cycles in that part of BC. If you dont cover your TT, I would at least seal the spot with something pliable.

Put some clear nailpoish on it for now to protect agailst water damage. When you can, go to a marina that has someone that specializes in fiberglass repair. May end up redoing the whole door to match better rather than spot repair.

It looks like a fastener coming through from the back, or an imperfection in the underlying fiberglass 'rupturing' the gelcoat. If it's still under warranty, bring it to attention of the dealer. If not, I'd go the marina or fiberglass repair option.

may be under factory defect and get it fixed free??

Being in Campbell River, there should be some mobile fiberglass repair people. I'm in Cobble Hill and I got Colorworks out of Victoria to repair a plastic cargo door and fiberglass bumper on my rig. They did it in my driveway. Good job.

It appears to be gel-coat on the outside. If so, you may be able to match the color. I repaired my glider wings and other surfaces often by sanding out a bit of a dish in the bad spot, and using a putty knife to spread on the gel-coat patch. Then block sand the area with 400 wet, progressing to 600, 1200, and then 2000... all wet sanding with a block. Polish the area, and the repair is completely invisible.
