Keystone Laredo 294RK

I have been looking at RV's for the last year. Last weekend we saw a 2015 Keystone Laredo 294RK at a local dealer who is quoting a very reasonable price when compared to other units on RV Trader.

I was wondering if anyone has one of these units? If you do would you mind sharing your impressions, thoughts etc.

Also knowing what you know now would you make the purchase again?

Thanks,

Don't have a rear kitchen model but did buy a 299BH, similar size. I've had a couple of issues with my Keystone camper, mainly the outside kitchen door has been replaced twice due to delamination and the front cap had to be repainted due to fading. Thank God for good dealerships. Other than that, my Keystone camper has been good and I would buy again. Only negative I've heard about the rear kitchen models is that, due to being at the back of the camper, a lot of the gear stowed in the cabinets gets thrown around.

Cindy and own a 2015 Bullet 251RBS and dearly love it. She originally looked at the 248RKS but after seeing the 251 she liked it's floor plan better. Liberty MO is our home and we have taken the trailer on trips to the Amana Colonies IA, Eureka and Hot Springs AR, and multiple trips to state parks around MO. As of this writing we have not had any issues. It behaves good when towing. Also, on our trip to Iowa we had our 2 daughters and granddaught along and there was plenty of room. We would purchase another Keystone product in the future. Sorry I can't report on the specific model you are looking at but am in hopes this helps!

sorry to report that we bought a used Keystone, Springdale. It has many issues. We found the valve for the black water underneath the camper. We had to crawl under it to open the Valve. There was another valve on the outside that we opened but nothing came out. Found out that this black water valve was actually for the shower. Husband thought the tolit drain was plugged because people on this forum said it was plugged so we used a snake on the tolit, & cracked the tank. Now we have to have it fixed. Terrible experience with this camper. We have had others & loved the other campers.

Hate to hear that, but doesn't sound like it was the camper's fault?

Can't say about your current model but we have a used 2007 Laredo 311RL so far it has been a good unit with no problems. We looked a long time before we bought this one. Build construction & fit & finish are still good. Make sure you buy from a quality dealer that will back you up after the sale. We would buy another Keystone. Good luck in your purchase.

Does anyone know if there is a switch on the Hot Water Heater, to turn off the gas to it because it is not working properly? We would like to use the stove & leave the propane on.

You didn't say what year/model your Springdale is, but it should have a gas/electric DSI water heater. There is no need to turn the propane off, just run it in electric mode. There should be a bank of rocker switches somewhere in your camper (in my Laredo 299BH, they're on the wall by the refrigerator) that operate the water heater, water pump and allow you to check your tank levels. There should be two switches for your water heater, one is for electric mode, one is for gas mode. Turn the electric one on and make sure the gas one is off.

If you have the owners manual, it is a handy resource. good luck..

If it isn't working properly, I'd recommend you get it looked at.
