Keystone Model Difference

Newbie here...At the risk of getting scolded, I'm curious about something. (Be nice lol)

Here it goes...I'm in the market for a TT. Been tent camping for years but this will be my first trailer. The shopping process has been very confusing. I see a lot of the same floor plans, different "companies", but can't seem to figure out the differences. I've gone to a few dealers and all seem to give me a vague answer.

I've been looking at 2 different models...Keystone Hideout 24BHWE and the Springdale 220BHWE. Almost exact same floor plan and stats. Dealer is telling me its basically the same trailer. Locally I can find the Hideout but would have to travel 4 hours to see the Springdale. So heres the question....

Whats the difference!?! And is it worth the drive to see the Springdale??

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, I'm looking for the difference between Hideout and Springdale. Not necessarily the models I was looking at. Is there quality difference? Different materials? Etc

There are only so many ways you can turn a 'shoebox' ie: RVs

So many of the same floorplans will be used by different MFGs. Add a little bling and you have a 'different' trailer........not really. Same/same just decor different

Remember:
Ford Pinto/Mercury Bobcat
Mercury Cougar/Ford Torino
Ford Maverick/Mercury Comet

Above just some examples of Same/Same cars----different mfg. (although related) and different trim levels

Pick the 'floorplan' that works for you and then best pricing.
They all use same components/appliances etc

Part of it is for dealer's in the same town to be able to both sell Keystone products without the dealers directly competing with each other because it's "a different model".
It's also like appliances, Lowes and Home Depot both have price matching policies and both sell GE refrigerators but don't carry the same models typically even though it's the exact same product with nothing more than minor cosmetic differences and a different model number, this way they don't have to worry about price matching each other's appliances thus keeping profits up.

Ok this helps a lot. So the 2 models are similar enough that I shouldn't be worried about comparing the two? Like I said, both have identical floor plans. At this point I'm just looking for a good price?

I'm not entirely sure but I think the Springdale come a little better dressed. Mechanically and structurally they are the same.

I purchased a Springdale 271RL last year, I have been very happy with it,no problems to speak of. Springdale is also made by Keystone. The Springdale is wood framed with aluminum siding, where as the Hideaway I believe is steel framed with smooth laminated siding. I also believe the Springdale is alittle less expensive then the Hideaway. Hope this helps.

I'm on my 5th RV over the last 20 years and bought a new Hideout last year. Overall, I'm pleased. It's not a Cadillac but for the price I paid I feel like it's good value. Keep in mind RVs at this level are not built for full time living. Along those lines they are made using cheap materials (lots of particle board for example). As long as you have reasonable expectations they are fine. Also realize buying an RV at any price is a roll of the dice. You'll read posts of people with one problem after another then you'll hear of people where nothing has gone wrong.

As for the initial question, the Springdale and Hideout lines are very similar.

I stand to be corrected but I think the Hideout and Springdale are both wood framed.
