If you go on a trip for 7 days or longer, do you pack enough clothes so you have a change each day, or do you pack light and do laundry on the road?

We usually pack enought clothes so we don't have to do laundry during the trip.

We do what my family did when we were kids on vacation. When we were kids we were tent campers and went all over the US. My mom would take the old clothes that had a hole in it or a tear and wash it and put it into a vacation box. That box would come with us and on travel days we wore those clothes. End of the day throw it away and have almost no laundry on vacation.

With 6 of us, we can't seem to pass a washing machine without washing something!

Since we tend to overpack with clothes when we travel, you would think we would be ok and not have to wash. We end up washing clothes anyways because I cant stand looking at the pile of dirty clothes in the forward closet.
