Leaking fresh water plug

The nylon plug holding the fresh water sensor wires is leaking. What can I use to reseal this plug if I unscrew it ? Don't want to make it worse but would like to be able to fully fill tank.

I would think regular tephlon tape would be fine.

Agreed, Teflon tape should work just fine.
