The easiest way to get rid of the bug infestation is to use a 'bug bomb'. You can find them in Walmart among other places. You could also use a spray when you see them.

Would a bug bomb mess up the smell of the camper?

I used them in my Sunnybrook trailer when I noticed that a nest of ants had moved in. You have to follow the instructions to either cover edibles or remove them among other things. I closed up the trailer and put 2 bug bombs inside the trailer and one in the storage area. I came back a day later and opened the windows/vents up to air it out. After a couple of hours, there was no noticable smell from the bug bombs. But I did have a LOT of dead bugs that I did not even realize were in there. Next time you are in Walmart, take a look at them and check out the instructions. I found them in the food market area along with other insecticides.

What you need is "RAID FUMINGATOR". Works great and leaves no residual odor after airing out. The only thing left behind is lots of dead bugs. You can get it at Home Depot or Lowes. It's the only thing I have found that will kill the Asian stink bugs that now plague the mid-atlantic states.
