Livin Lite Aluminum Travel Trailers

Anybody on here traveling in one of their units? How has it held up over time?

Livin Lite

We are on our first trip in our 21RBS. So far everything is fine except the freezer. Won't get below 33 on propane or electric. Will talk to the dealer next week.
It tows well and we enjoy it so far. Our plan is to take it to Alaska next year. We bought it early so we could get used to it.

Thanks for the reply. That is the same unit we have picked as one of our top two. What are you towing it with? How has it been on the road? After years in motorhomes we are thinking of downsizing to a TT and that looks like a good unit for us.

Thanks, Mike and Janet

We are towing it with a Ford F150 V6 (ecoboost). It is a strong motor and will pull the Livin Lite at any speed one would want to go. We set the cruise pm about 64 on the Interstate and just forget about it. It is a new truck but it appears it will get around 11 MPG towing the trailer.
There are a couple items you may miss, coming from a MH, such as no gauges to determine the tank levels. We learned that if you are standing in water in the shower, it's time to dump the gray. In four days in one spot we never filled the black tank. It is maybe good for 5 or 6 days. Also the hot water heater is LP only. We really are disappointed in this fact. When plugged in we prefer the hot water to be electric. The thermostat for the furnace is just a slider. No digital read out.
Test have shown that our refrigerator is defective. Now comes the fight!
We are still learning the Livin Lite but we like it and are not sorry for buying it. Will probably be the cat's meow for our Alaska trip in '14.

You can easily install a Hot Shot electric probe in the WH. That will give you the option to go either way. We would also prefer the option to go either way for hot water supply. I would think the dealer will get the fridge straightened out. Keep us all informed as to the results.
