I am obviously biased toward NuWa trailers.... The one I have (see signature line) has served me well living in it for 4-5 months a year. BUT, quality costs. NuWa, as well as other 'snowbird'/'fulltime' quality trailer brands are more expensive than the mass market rigs like the Jayco you were looking at.
If money is a deciding factor for you, you could look at a used rig that is not too old. I am not really qualified to say what brands are the 'best'. Everyone thinks the brand they bought is the best.... It all comes down to what is best for you for the usage you want to get out of it.
I do know that NuWa takes in trades for new purchases at the factory. They then go over the trade-ins from top to bottom and repair everything that needs fixing before they put them up for sale. I have heard a lot of good comments about the quality of the used rigs they have for sale.
A listing of the rigs are located here.
If you could arrange it, taking a factory tour at the NuWa factory is a great way to learn what to look for in a quality, well-built rig. But, be aware that you will be tempted to sign your name on an order....
