I have read the instructions on installation but they do not mention about sealing the bolts with silicone or anything. The bolts that go through the roof of the camper should they be sealed?? I think the ones that go through the vent cover flange would be OK, but the ones that go through the roof might leak, is this right or am I missing something?? Thanks

The one I installed did not have any holes placed in roof. The holes only went through the sides of your existing vent. I did put a little clear caulk on those just in case. Check your instructions again. The Maxx Airs work great.

I am mistaken, the holes do not go through the roof, the bolts go through a bracket that mounts to the metal trim. Thanks for the help.
