Mine never comes on unless the ignition process fails. I have a 2012 Atwood DSI 18gph 6 gallon unit.

Well, I went and looked a Gulf Stream, and sure enough, all they said on several models was a 6 gallon gas water heater. Looking under options, they offered a 6 gallon DSI water heater. Learn something new everyday. I guess the hotrod is going to be the best bet.
