Mold and condensation issues

We noticed some mold under the bunk mattresses and inside closet area. Does anybody else have this issue or is it just crossroads campers? We sprayed on krud kutter and got the mold cleaned up and also bought a 4lb container of damprid that they had at Walmart. I’m about to go buy some treated plywood to put in Click image for larger version

Prop you mattress up so air can circulate and see if that helps.

That’s what we are doing now but our daughter sleeps in the top bunk every night and with it getting down to 40* at night the outside walls just get lined with condensation

With it being cooler out you may want to get a dehumidifier or leave a roof vent cracked open a little

When the three of us were living in our travel trailer while building our house. I tried all the usual tricks. Ended up getting a medium size dehumidifier that helped eliminate most of the walls and windows sweating.

We put a rechargeable dehumidifier on the window of our daughter's bunk due to the same issue. That and a dehumidifier for the trailer seems to have everything mold and mostly moister free.

I wouldn't use treated Plywood. It uses arsenic in the treatment process. It leaches out over time. Not healthy and not designed for closed places. I had a product several years ago but can't remember the brand. there was two parts the first removed the mold and the other kept the mold from returning. Try a google search it might show up I think it might be mold-x or something like that. I have had the same issue but i had some left over from the motorhome. But the labels are gone. as i remember, i used it on carpet too. I got mine in two gallons, one each. Best of luck! Just one of the issues with full-timing in a rv.

I'm lost. I've gone to look for me. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait.

Definitely no "Pressure Treated" material inside! It is against all building codes for a good reason!

You can however use a marine grade ply. Plus, they do now make a moisture resistant ply for interior use. It usually has a blue coating that distinguishes it from the exterior green.
