Just picked up my new toy, a Rockwood 2608SS pulling with 2500 Avalanche 8.1. I am new to the RV life but really looking forward to using the new TT. If anybody has any helpful tips I am all ears.

READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUALS THOROUGHLY!

Then do the maintenance as instructed.

Get heavier duty tires. If you have D rated tires go to E rated tires
made in the USA.

Then keep them aired up.

Tip: ST trailer tires must be inflated to sidewall maximum. This is so important http://www.carlisletire.com/product_...are_safety.pdf and all other ST tire manufacturers say the warranty is void otherwise.

Torque you wheels on a regular basis, get a tire monitoring air pressure system for your rigs tires, make a good check list, get your rig and tow vehicle weighed, and when you are on the road and have any issue, just look at it as "part of the adventure", and move on to the next adventure.

Find yourself a good camping club, like a Good Sam Chapter, meet new campers, and enjoy the RVing life.

Have a gerat time....

Jerry
