My new Wind River 250RDSW arrives home!

Hi guys,

My new travel trailer arrived Saturday. I was able to go pick it up and park it in my driveway for the next couple weeks until I arrange for storage. I have 6 trips planned this spring/summer so far. Love the trailer, I think we made a great choice! Outdoors RV is the manufacturer and Nash owns the company. We were first interested in the Arctic Fox 25Y but after doing some more research and hard thinking we ended up with the Wind River 250RDSW.

The trailer is 30' long with a barrel ceiling and LED lights throughout! We upgraded to the residential package and got nice faucets, a glass French door to the bedroom, and some other nice comforts such as a digital thermostat and fantastic fans in the bathroom and bedroom. I also installed my Trimetric battery meter and two 6v deep cycle batteries in place of the standard 12v that were to come with the trailer. Will be installing an Iota supplemental charger this coming weekend.

Here are some pics!

Yes, the trailer is not level with my truck here but my driveway has a big slope and the pitch is such that the trailer looks way out of level. When on flat pavement it is perfectly level. My truck sits 4" lower in the back when hooked up but also sits pretty level as well since it is raked forward unloaded.

Congratulations!!

My wife and I went to the RV show here back in February and fell in love with two OutdoorsRV products...the Wind River and the Blackstone. We didn't see any other TTs that compared.

I'm sure you'll be quite pleased with your choice.

Have fun in that thing.

Thanks guys. We are really happy with our decision. We've been having dinner and spending evenings in it to get a feel for things and work out any bugs. So far all the systems are functioning perfectly. We did have a bad LED overhead light which will need to be replaced and I had to re-hang a cabinet door I wasn't happy with but really nothing big at all to correct.

I installed my Trimetric and will be installing my Iota charger this weekend along with some vent rain covers. Oh, and the wife bought some battery powered LED sconces I need to mount in the bedroom and dining area. Leopard print of course Actually look pretty good. Oh, will be setting up my TST Trucking TPMS as well. I need to take the trailer in to get metal valve stems installed first though.

Installed the modified Iota charger. It was modified by Backwoods Solar to charge at 14.8 volts with a 15.4 volt switch for fast charge and maintenance. Drilling that first hole in the floor of your brand new trailer is a big step but I got over it quickly

Charged the new batteries up for a few hours to 14.8 and resting voltage the following day was 12.8v precisely. Verified with a hydrometer to be fully charged.

Now we are off to Camping World to pick up a few items... vent covers, lug wrench, jack. Then to some other stores to find nice containers for storing goods in the pass through.
