Mysterious Campground rates

Just returned from a 3 week trip of the western US. Got a Good Sam & KOA value cards before we left.

Seems KOA doesn't publish their rates even in their directory. Only place I could find their rates is in the Good Sam Campground Directory.

KOA you need to be less secretive about your pricing.

They probably don't give the rates because each camp is individually owned and they will change their rates without notice.

KOA is always overpriced as far as I am concerned.

You can find the "Estimated base rate for my stay" on the website for each individual KOA campground. Beginning the registration process allows you to see the cost and availability of the different site categories but you don't have to complete the registration just to view the rates.

We just spent a week at the Forsyth GA KOA when we had to evacuate from Savannah due to Hurricane Matthew. Their base rate for a full hookup pull through site was $36 per night and they did not increase their prices despite being jam packed every night and turning away latecomers. Under the circumstances I considered it excellent value.

Get the "Allstays" app and use the "follow me"" feature. Use the filter to select KOA or Independent or even Cracker barrel. A map will appear and you can see what is near you. Touch the icon for KOA and the phone number will come up along with reviews, etc. Call and ask for rates. Takes about one minute once you become familiar with the app.
