Need advise asap! HELP HELP PLEASE!

Okay - we bought a trailer but hadn't picked it up. After reading posts on here I had buyers remorse. The guy at the rv place suggested we look at these two - We have 4 people in our family - 2 girls 5 and 12 and my 6'3 husband and myself 4'11. 1 dog and 2 cats. We are military and move around a lot but hubby only has 2-3 years left. We also travel a lot. We have to pay for storage.

So our choices are this -

Jayco Jay Flight Swift 264Bh
or
Jayco Jay Flight Swift 198RD

PLEASE I want an opinion!!!

I would take the longer rig with your size family and lots of traveling.

Yeah hubby likes the littler one for storage, gas and the littler one has a sealed bottom and upgrades that the bigger one doesn't. Ugh

It's a hard choice. To go bigger we have to go cheaper quality. :(

Be more concerned about comfort and room once towed and set up than while towing. You'll tow for 5 hours, but you might stay in one place for 5 days. I made the small-first-trailer mistake and you'll spend much less in the long run if you can avoid it.

Looked at both floor plans and I would definitely go with 264BH. We have a camper that is similar to the layout, ours is a little smaller so we don't have the couch, and as a family of 4 it is really nice for each of the kids to have their own bunk and not have to convert the dinette or a couch. The island queen is also nice if someone needs to get up in the middle of the night you don't have to crawl over the other person.

What are you towing with? This may make up your mind for you because there's a LOT more to consider than towing capacity.
With all of you and gear, you are probably maxing out the GVWR on a lot of common SUVs and 1/2 ton trucks.

Be safe and read about this topic.
